ANDREW SHANNON

President

Andrew is an MBA at Imperial College with over 5 years of small business operating, investing, and consulting experience.

Prior to studying at Imperial College he held numerous operating positions in diverse industries including manufacturing, medical device, and multimedia production. Andrew has been successful in managing international sales and marketing programs and leading strategic change initiatives. He also has a keen understand of small business investing from his roles with angel investment and technology transfer groups.

Andrew holds a BBA from the University of Wisconsin – Madison where he pioneered the undergraduate entrepreneurship major and was voted “Entrepreneurship Student of the Year” in 2006.

JAMES MURFIN

Vice President

A ‘corporate entrepreneur’ and strategist with a relentless passion for technology, innovation, design and it’s impact on commerce and society. James has 11 years of corporate strategy experience at Microsoft, IBM and Siemens, and more recently, 5 years experience in new company incubation and leadership at a highly specialized venture group, Mural Ventures. Mural works with global and national telecoms operators to design, build and sell online services for businesses and has successfully sold it’s first portfolio software company in early 2010, which James co-founded back in 2006 with his US partners: http://paidcontent.org/article/419-reachlocal-buys-online-reputation-manager-smb-live/

THALEIA MISAILIDOU

Vice President

I graduated as a Mechanical Engineer from the National Technical University of Athens. I have specialized in Production Management and Operational Research and I have previously worked in consultancy. At Imperial, I am studying Risk Management and Financial Engineering. My vision for this club is to bring students that share a keen interest in Private Equity and Venture Capital together and help them interact with potential employers, while forming a strong community that lasts long after our graduation.

EREZ VAIDA

Vice President

Mr. Vaida is an MBA student at Imperial College Business School with hands-on experience leading cross-border financial transactions.

Prior to studying at Imperial College Business School, Mr. Vaida worked as a corporate lawyer for almost 3 years, where he represented start-up and high-tech companies as well as venture capital and private equity funds, in a variety of cross-border corporate transactions and in different industries, including technology, life-science and medical device. Mr. Vaida has particular expertise in debt financing, LBOs, mezzanine loans and mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Vaida holds an LL.B and an additional undergraduate degree in economics from Tel-Aviv University.

DR. FLORENT DAUCHY

Vice President

Dr. Dauchy is an MBA student at Imperial College with 4 years of experience in hi-tech technology start-ups. Recently, Dr. Dauchy co-founded Scottson Ltd., a medical technology start-up focusing on developing cutting edge ultra portable medical devices, where he acts as director of business development. Prior to joining the MBA programme, Dr. Dauchy was the lead researcher for AFM Ltd. – a promising medical technology start-up – where he gained hands-on experience in R&D operations for prototype development.

Dr. Dauchy holds a PhD in Physics from Cranfield University, specialising in micro and nano technologies. Dr.Dauchy’s doctoral dissertation focused on semiconductors and ferroelectric materials.
