About Us

The Private Equity Club is one of Imperial College London’s most active student organisations. We are based in Imperial Business School and the Club is open to all students at Imperial.

We exist to help Imperial students understand what the private equity and venture capital industries do; develop their private equity skills; organise lectures and other events that allow students to meet and learn from professionals; help industry professionals access a network of students educated to an elite standard; and to develop a private equity network for Imperial’s students and alumni.

Established partnerships between Imperial College and the business community help us provide a platform to build relationships and identify collaborative opportunities. We want to put these relationships to use to dissipate understanding of PE and VC, these fields’ relationships to technology, and their place in finance in general.

With their technological backgrounds and well known practical and adaptable mindset, Imperial students have a particular advantage in the private equity world. As such, the Club is especially interested in developing an understanding of the role of this form of finance in developing technological opportunities.

As a top-flight British university situated in the world’s leading financial centre, we also aim to foster much needed understanding of private equity and venture capital in the world’s emerging markets. We believe that, even if they arrive at Imperial with little knowledge of private equity, our students should seek nothing less than leading roles in this changing field.
